Repair or replacement?
Why electric motors and generators repair is more beneficial compared to their replacement?
- The overhaul cost is 40-60% of electric motors and generators sale price;
- Repair time is less than the delivery time, especially if the machine is imported;
- The machine lifetime after overhaul is the same or greater than that of a new machine;
Overhaul
Overhaul of electric motors and generators includes the following activities:
- Defining the status of stator and/or rotor windings and mechanical units and components including terminal box and terminal board;
- Stator and/or rotor winding rewindings;
- Winding drying, impregnation and subsequent drying;
- Bearings replacement, bearing journals welding and mechanical treatment if necessary;
- Bearing shields and screw holes restoring;
- Fan, fan shroud, terminal board, terminal box and fastener replacings;
- Rotor dynamic balancing;
- Electric machine assembly and testing in idle mode.
We do not limit ourselves to restore the low voltage (to 690 V) electric motors and generators windings. In an overhaul
we modernize windings in order to:
- improve working security;
- increase the thermal insulation class;
- extending the between repair periods;
- increase the electrical machines power, etc.
"Ecoforce" Ltd. performs repairs and rewindings of:
- asynchronous motors - general purpose;
- crane motors with cage and phase rotor;
- synchronous and asynchronous generators including those powered by internal combustion engines;
- DC motors and generators.
With available to the company technological equipment we rewind:
- stator and rotor windings with soft and hard sections;
- pole rotor windings;
- excitatory and pole coils with round and rectangular wire.
Insulation materials, electrical insulation and impregnation varnish F class (155°С) are used in coil repair. Winding wires used in the repair works are F class (155°С), H class (180°С) and C class (200°С). Before and after impregnation rewound coils are dried in drying ovens.
Electromechanical repairs of electrical machines includes:
- housing;
- bearing shields;
- shaft;
- stator package;
- rotor package;
- terminal board replacements;
- bearing replacements.
Repaired electrical machines are tested in idle mode.
